Brighton Pride

Brighton Pride Logo

Takes place in Brighton on the first weekend of August each year.

The annual Brighton and Hove Pride community parade is one of the most colourful and exciting visual events in the city’s calendar bringing the whole community out to Brighton & Hove’s streets with over 200,000 people participating and watching the spectacle in all its outrageous colour.

Carnival of Diversity encompasses everything that has become iconic about the diverse, creative and open-minded community that makes Brighton internationally famous.

The community parade is the spectacle of the year and a chance for you to join with others in what is the liveliest, most colourful, uplifting and empowering visual showcase in the city.

Thousands of people watch the parade every year and it is the best ‘shop window’ for community groups and business to get your message of support for Pride and the message of equality and diversity.

Quite simply the most spectacular, diverse, flamboyant and life affirming alfresco Festival. The UK’s leading Pride has something for everyone.

Pride 2015, our 25th anniversary, was easily the best ever with a sparkling array of internationally renown performers, artists, DJs, including the legendary The Human League, Fatboy Slim, Ella Henderson, Hercules & Love Affair, Foxes, Tulisa, The Freemasons, Bright Light Bright Light, Kelli-Leigh, Blooms, Seamus Haji, Prok & Fitch and International circuit DJ Wayne G with an array of diverse entertainment and community areas.

Add the Wild Fruit Big Top, Legends Cabaret big top, the Radio Reverb Alternative Performance Stage, Shelia McWattie Women’s Performance Stage, the Urban World Dance Tent, Bears Tent, Trans* Tent, Family Diversity Area and the many, many more entertainment and community areas and we had an amazing Pride we could all be part of, be proud of and celebrate.
